A Heart

For once i had a glimpse of an understanding. It was like a gentle breeze, the spring leaves wiggling on their branches, a bird stretched it's wings, the cards tumbled from hands to the table to hands again. Cigarettes hung from lips, some tensely, some loosely, the wine sat in the glasses, expecting, up, i said, towards the light. Towards a heart.
